In the vineyard
We all agree that most of the hard work happens in the vineyard and that this is the place where all of our fantastic flavours are created. Blind River founder, Barry Feickert, employs all the latest computer technology to understand and manage his vineyard. A marine engineer in his former life, he is able to fix practically anything, and his perfectionist nature means that his vineyard is always in prime condition.
It's Barry's job to harness the special attributes of the vineyard with what each season has to offer. He is assisted out in the elements by youngest daughter Wendy who lives in a cottage on the property. Wendy now looks after the vines that, as a teenager, she helped to plant.

In the winery
Eldest daughter Debbie is responsible for winemaking decisions and it is her job to capture and amplify the flavours of our fruit. Debbie works with a consultant winemaker to craft the style of wines and combines her wine studies at Roseworthy College with experience working vintages in Australian and Californian wineries
In the office
Debbie and middle sister, Suzie, run the company, setting the strategic direction of the business and making all day to day decisions. Suzie, an accountant, holds the purse strings and ensures the profitability and financial success of the business.
As well as helping in the vineyard when needed, Barry's wife Dianne looks after all local and web-based sales, fulfilling orders and despatching wine.
